I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to run for an open seat in District 2 for the Montgomery County Council. My top goal is to ensure equity for all of our residents, today and for decades to come, in order for us to have a healthy and prosperous future.
Equity is important because District 2, where I have lived for 35 years, is the most diverse district in Montgomery County. That means our local elected officials should have their finger on the pulse of several key issues vital to our District in the Upcounty ~ from North Potomac to Clarksburg, and from Germantown to Poolesville.
I care about your views for quality education, public safety, environmental sustainability, economic viability, plus a stable and commonsense county budget.
For several years, my friends and neighbors shared with me how they want a fresh, energetic, and experienced voice to represent the interests of UpCounty. Now the voters in District 2 have that chance with an open seat on election day, July 19, 2022.
My background as a business professional and community leader on the Montgomery County Commission for Women presents voters with a solid opportunity to place a new member on the County Council who possesses experience on a wide scope of issues while holding the values we share in common.
I will bring my hands-on, personal, and “in the trenches” perspective of hope to the Montgomery County Council, where I will continue my tireless efforts pursuing legislation, policies, and adequate funding for County services and programs that are fair, equitable, and accessible for all our residents, from our equity focused areas to our wide open parks and watersheds.
Why wait? The time for change is now!
